This ongoing class is designed to give girls a safe and fun space to make new friends while enjoying a snack! Each week, we will play a new "getting to know you" game as well as choose different topics of discussion. This ongoing version of my One-Time Class "Let's Get Together! Girls Snack and Chat" is meant to create a group of girls who meet and get to know each other better each week, rather than just once in a one-time class. I was a middle school teacher for 6 years before joining Outschool. I will be running this class as I would have run an advisory class in my school. Advisory was meant for small groups of students to come together and have fun while learning from each other about the world around us. Discussion topics always come from the students, but will be monitored by the teacher (which means if a topic is inappropriate, it will not be discussed in class). My sole purpose as the teacher in this class is to be a facilitator for the girls to discuss topics with each other. It is meant to be fun (bring a snack!) and social.
