Let's work together to empower young girls to feel confident and strong! Girls can participate in this weekly class designed to improve their self-esteem and practice empowering their female peers. Each week, students will be introduced to a new quote by an important female figure from the past or present. We will dissect the quote and how we can apply it to our own lives. Each week, we will focus on a new social skill. The teacher will teach with a student-centered teaching style. Students...
Students will gain confidence and social skills. Students will be able to use critical thinking skills to participate in meaningful discussions and identify their strengths. They will communicate their emotions with friends and family in a healthy format.
I am a certified teacher and a K-5 school counselor. I have taught and facilitated several character education lessons and small-groups. I have also worked with students individually on the skills discussed in class.
