We will focus on the root word Audi. Students will be provided instruction on and examples of the root word, create a word family using related words, have an opportunity to practice using the root's meaning in multiple ways (handouts, verbal discussion, chat discussion, annotation, drawing, etc.), and learn how to apply this knowledge to deciphering unknown words. I have been teaching middle school Reading and Language Arts for more than 18 years. I specialize in reading skills/strategies, teaching writing, and working with students at their own individual levels.
