This course is designed for students who have already completed a second grade math curriculum as a Summer review before entering third grade. Students will have plenty of opportunities to work with partners and play small group games. It is important for students to be active participants in class. 

We believe in creating a classroom community where all students feel valued and safe to make mistakes and celebrate each other's successes. We will guide student learning to meet each student where they are at and differentiate their learning. We utilize the Singapore method for teaching math. 

Each week, we will review a different math concept to get students prepared and feeling confident and having the foundation they need going into third grade. These topics do not build on one another from week to week as materials should all be review for students.

(July 25) Addition Strategies with and without regrouping

(August 1) Subtraction Strategies with and without regrouping

(August 8) Multiplication Foundation (2s, 5s, 10s)
