Join this learner directed game class to connect with awesome people who love learning on Outschool. Learners will share socially while they play a game of Starbound on a private secure server. Yvonne is a long time gamer who has played Starbound for a while (among many others). She is also a musician (B.Mus), artist, writer, chicken farmer and homeschooling mum, former Girl Guide Leader and is starting to wonder if her life really IS a Stardew Valley game.
PC/Linux/Mac computer running Starbound with the ability to connect to a LAN game. A reasonable internet connection (mine is satellite and it works fine with little lag).
Once registered, you will be given an IP and player id/password to connect to in your Co-op play LAN game setting when starting the game in a private message. This IP must NOT be shared with anyone else or I will need to reset the IP and the whole server which will remove all characters and progress. The game will run during class. After class, as required by Outschool, the server will not be accessible outside of class. No external Gamertags will be shared in class as the name you create for this game will be the only thing visible to the other players. No inappropriate names please. If anyone shares a gamertag or external contact info in chat, it will be deleted.
