課堂經歷
In this class students will learn to illustrate a figure on a folded piece of paper such that their illustration unfolds to reveal a funny surprise! Some basic comfort with drawing is recommended but experience is not required. Students will be guided through the drawing process step by step. We will start with pencil, then trace our drawings with marker when we are satisfied, then we’ll add color with either colored pencils or markers. Students will learn some basic concepts of composition and techniques for drawing faces.

Hello, friends! My name is Amy Sloan and I am an artist and a teacher. My degree may be in Photojournalism, but it’s painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafting that I adore and seek to share with art lovers of all ages!
My teaching philosophy mirrors that of the late, great Bob Ross, who helped inspire my own growth mindset by teaching that there are no mistakes in art, only happy accidents.
I currently teach arts and crafts in an after school/summer camp program for middle school students. I have further experience teaching jewelry making and illustration to both children and adults. And I am also the mother of a budding kindergarten artist!
