We will study the fundamentals of saxophone performance. Including proper breathing technique, sound production/tone, rhythm, theory, and easy melodies. After learning how to assemble the instrument, and how to use proper posture, each class will begin with a review of these fundamentals, embouchure warm ups, and review. Students will learn how to properly assemble the instrument, produce a sound, count simple rhythms, and play simple melodies. Scales will be introduced.
