Each week class will begin with a warm up that will include stretching exercises on the floor as well as standing. Students will learn one new ballet step each week that we will focus on throughout the class. Choreography will be taught to a song from frozen 1 or 2 each week. Week 1Lesson 1All Is FoundWe will begin class with a warm up and stretch. Our focus will be on the Ballet step 1st position this week. We will play a ballet dance game using movement cards. We will learn a routine to "All is Found" from Frozen 2.Week 2Lesson 2Love Is An Open DoorWe will begin class with a warm up and stretch. Our focus will be on the Ballet step of plie this week. We will learn a routine to "Love is and Open Door" from Frozen 1. We will play a dance game to "Feel the Music".Week 3Lesson 3Into the UnknownWe will begin class with a warm up and stretch. Our focus will be on the Ballet step of tendu this week. We will play a dance game to "The Winter Hokey Pokey". We will learn a routine to "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2. We will end class with a rhythm dance!Week 4Lesson 4Let It GoWe will begin class with a warm up and stretch. Our focus will be on the Ballet step of passe this week. We will learn a routine to "Let it Go" from Frozen 1. We will play an instructional dance game "Wiggle, Freeze, Melt".
Your child will learn beginner ballet dance steps in a creative learning environment. They will also learn choreography to a short ballet dance which will teach them various patterns. Dancing to music will also teach the student how to develop musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!

Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back.
