Students will learn the history of the model of the atom and the names of the people associated with each model.
Students will learn vocabulary associated with atoms.
Students will learn how to find the change in energy in an electron when it moves from one orbital to another using the Bohr model.
Students will learn how to write electron configurations in s-p-d-f notation.
In December 2020, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nuclear Engineering. I guess you could say that "atoms are my thing"!

Student comprehension will be assessed by their performance on the homework and in the Kahoot! games. Their performance will be reported back to the parent.

Students will be provided with a vocabulary sheet that will summarize everything that will be learned in the class and will assist them in remembering everything presented to them in the class. Students will be provided with homework sheets every week (except the first week).
