In this fun and engaging 3rd-5th grade fractions class, students will dive into the world of fractions, learning everything from the basics to more advanced concepts! We'll explore unit fractions, compare fractions with different numerators and denominators, and practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions.

Interpret unit fractions with denominators 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
Understand that a unit fraction represents one part of a whole divided equally.
Represent unit fractions using area and length models.

Numerators and Denominators
Represent fractions with denominators 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
Use area models and number lines to explain the numerator as the count of unit fractions.
Compare fractions on a number line.
課 4:
Equivalent Fractions
-Compose and decompose fractions into equivalent fractions.
-Explore relationships between halves, fourths, and eighths; thirds and sixths.
-Explain why fractions with the same numerator and denominator equal one whole.
-Recognize and express whole numbers as fractions.
