每週 1-2 小時. 1-2 hours of homework a week will be expected outside of class time. Each student will be working on their own painting and will post updates on THURSDAYS of each class week. Students will be paired up with an art buddy in class and will be responsible for giving constructive feedback to their art buddy during the week.評估
Learners will be evaluated by the teacher informally each week at each new stage of the painting. I will be assessing if they can make any adjustments to improve their artwork. I will have constructive, positive feedback for each student every week. I encourage creativity, so each painting will be unique, but I will be providing feedback to help each student create the best painting possible!我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。
課堂經歷
This is a flexible schedule class with NO LIVE MEETINGS. I will be using weekly video instructions to walk students through the steps to create an acrylic painting of their pet. Each student will be able to watch the video instructions on their own schedule. Students will be provided videos, instructions, and a homework assignment on MONDAY of the scheduled week. To get the most out of the class I recommend turning in homework by Friday to be reviewed before the next step of the assignment is given in the following lesson. These lessons build on one another so that each week the students will be completing a piece of their painting until it is completed in week 4! Previous painting experience is a plus, but definitely not required! I will walk you through all the steps to create your own masterpiece. Acrylic paints, brushes, and a canvas will be needed for this class. Please see the supply list for all the details. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CLASS OUTLINE For homework students should plan to spend 1-2 hours a week working on their painting, using their instruction videos and class discussion. Learner progress will be evaluated through in-progress photos of their work posted to the classroom on Fridays. The teacher will provide individual feedback and guidance for each student. Students are encouraged to interact with other students in the class and can provide constructive feedback in the classroom to their classmates throughout the course. Week 1 - Choosing a Photo Reference and Getting a Print Out For week 1 students will pick out the perfect photo reference for their pet painting, and post it to the classroom for discussion and be approved by the teacher. Students (with the help of parents) will need to get a canvas-sized printout of their images. Week 2 - Transferring the Photo to the Canvas, and Finalizing the Sketch Students will transfer their photos to their canvas following the instructional video. Students will finalize their sketch and post it in the classroom for discussion with classmates and be approved by the teacher. Week 3 - First Layer of Paint Students will paint in the basic shapes and colors on their painting. Students will post in the classroom for peer review and teacher feedback. Week 4 - Second Layer of Paint Students will complete all of the details of their pet painting and post their completed work in the classroom to show off to all Learners! Students should respond to the finished artwork with positive feedback! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ REFUND POLICY All Flexible Schedule classes have a standard refund policy: "Full refund until the class begins, or within 24 hours of purchase (until class starts), then a pro-rated refund based on the number of meetings." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I also offer private painting parties, perfect for birthday parties! 學習目標
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to complete an entire acrylic painting of their pet, and learn about techniques and the brushes we use during class.

Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
供應清單
Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need acrylic paints, brushes, and a canvas to complete this artwork! Canvas - I recommend a 16x20in canvas for this project, but feel free to choose your own size Acrylic Paints in Your Pet's Colors - Normally white, black, a couple of brown shades, and whatever color you would like for your background. I will let you know what exact colors are needed once the students have picked out their pet reference photos. Every pet is different so each student will need different paint colors. 1in. Square Brush A couple of smaller brushes - I prefer a mix of square and round brushes Paper Plate (or something to use as a paint pallet) Cup of Water Paper Towels Pencil Stick of Graphite (or Graphite Paper) A printed image of your pet, the same size as your canvas. These prints can normally be made very cheaply at any office supply store. Most supplies can also be purchased at your local grocery or art store, please let me know if you have any questions or need help with supplies!
