In this flexible 8-week course, students will read Mary Pope Osborne's Magic Tree House's "Mystery of the Ancient Riddles" books #9-12. This chapter-book series is amazing for children ages 6 to 11. They are "page-turners", and all readers will enjoy these books, as they simply have to know what's going to happen next to Jack and Annie. Books: # 9 : Dolphins at Daybreak #10: Ghost Town at Sundown #11: Lions at Lunchtime #12: Polar Bears Past Bedtime Join Jack and Annie as they travel...
Students will improve reading, listening skill, reading aloud, writing, comprehension, summarizing, vocabulary, prediction, and story analysis and more. Learners can learn so many fun educational topics from each book.
These Magic Tree House book series contain a magical traveling treehouse where two young children, Jack and Annie, go on various adventures together. Various educational topics, history, science, and fun facts are learned from these books. If a learner is sensitive to adventure books, I would recommend another class.

Learners will be assigned chapters to complete reading or listening to from each four books outside of class. At the end of week 2,4, 6 and 8, students will complete mini-book reports (print-outs provided). Students will love using the interactive Nearpod, which will have meaningful educational lessons created by the teacher, that will allow them to be more engaged with their learning experience.1 - 2 每週課外時間

Books can be found at the library and online (print, eBook, and audio). Used books are found for low prices each. You can also find many people on Youtube, who read the books aloud. The physical book is also helpful in class, but not required. Each week, learners will receive printable handouts that will be posted in the classroom board. A notebook will be needed to write down vocabulary, take notes and answer comprehension questions. Print-outs can also be pasted into the notebook to have it all in one place. Folders or binders are optional. Pencils (or pens), paper, and markers or crayons will be needed.
