NOTE: Recordings will be anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the content for that week. In the last week, the videos might be less lengthy since we've covered a lot by then. Students will also need to print out their pages at home to follow with me in the video. There are about 20-30 pages to print out each week If students don’t have access to a printer there will be a digital PDF version for students to download and they may use Kami or any other program that allows them to write their answers on. I will guide the students through a recorded video on the entire journal to ensure that students know how to solve the problems. Students will have the opportunity to pause and play the video as we are going through the lesson. Once done with the guided journal they will have an opportunity to work on Quizizz where they will reinforce what they learned. In this class, I will teach students how to create their own interactive writing journal that they can use for future references. We will cover all taught objectives of fifth grade and ensure that students understand each lesson as the weeks go by. I love this journal because it is extremely interactive and students will enjoy doing all the activities that they're supposed to do in the journal. Students will also interact through "Quizizz" and we will play interactive games to help the student improve his/her knowledge lesson skills. It is very important that students learn all concepts in a fun and interactive way and that is exactly what learners will be doing in this class. ***This is a flex course which means that we do not meet live, but there will still be interaction as students will interact with all their classmates through the discussions, videos that we will get to watch from each other when building a certain section, and responding to each other in discussions. Topics in the interactive journal are as followed: Week 1: Writing Opinions, Writing Informative Texts, Writing Narratives, Producing Writing Week 2: Developing Writing, Publishing Writing, Research Projects, Gathering Information Week 3: Finding Evidence, Writing Routinely, English Grammar, Capitalization, Punctuation, and Spelling Week 4: Knowledge of Language, Word Meanings, Word Relationships, Using Words and Phrases Everyone always assumes that writing is complicated but it doesn't have to be. Dazzling Minds Academy, founded by Erika Corona, offers a variety of fun escape rooms and fun math classes. Dazzling Minds Academy specializes in escape rooms and math classes where students will use their critical thinking skills in both math and decoding ciphers to ensure that students learn while having fun.
Up to now, Dazzling Minds Academy, has served over 6,950 students in both live and flex classes. Our flex classes offers prerecorded instruction where each child can follow along with Teacher Erika to ensure that every objective is fully understood. Our live classes are filled with fun mysteries decoding ciphers and fun technology use such as Kahoot.
Dazzling Minds Academy offers all types of classes; Flex, One-Time, Ongoing and Multiday to ensure that parents choose the best option for their child.
All courses are designed by Teacher Erika and taught by highly qualified teachers that are excited to teach and ensure that every child has fun while learning.
Dazzling Minds Academy vision is to ensure that every child learns by having fun. Our escape rooms are fun, yet challenging and our math classes are carefully prepared to ensure each child learns the objective. We offer over 60 flex classes of Math, Writing, Grammar full curriculum PDF journals as well as fun classes with decoding ciphers

ERIKA: Founder of Dazzling Minds Academy and Math teacher for over 8 years in the middle school setting. Prior to that, I was a teacher aide with all grade levels in the elementary setting. I have taught with VIPKids and have tutored kids for over 15 years.
