In this class, learners will practice spelling words and using them in sentences while playing the "Feed the Mouse" hangman alternative game. The words come from a third grade spelling list, but only knowledge of the letters is necessary to participate in this class. This class is an interactive spelling game. I will show learners how to play the game. Learners will guess letters to spell the words and feed the mouse cheese. After class learners can save the game to their device to play later. WORD LIST (in all caps) As well as vocabulary development, we will expand and talk about compound words, vowels, place value and make sentences with the words. EXAMPLE 1. CHEESE 2. UMBRELLA 3. BREAKFAST 4. THOUSAND 5. BIRTHDAY 6. CARDBOARD 7. BASEBALL 8. HALLWAY 9. CHILDREN 10. DOCTOR

Students will enhance their vocabulary and improve their spelling and knowledge of compound words, vowels and place value while playing this fun, interactive feed the mouse spelling game.

The genially is password protected and can be downloaded to your learner's device by someone at least 13 years old. No user login information is needed. The genially will ask to store cookies to your learner's device needed to play the game. You accept them and enter the password.
