What makes horses different than other animals? This lesson is filled with fascinating facts about horses that will shock you! NO LIVE MEETINGS - Although we won’t be meeting live, there will be plenty of student-teacher interaction. No deadlines. Lessons and activities will be posted once or twice a week and I will check in with you daily. 1st week: Video lesson: - What are horses? - What do they look like? - Where do they live? - How long do they live? - What do they eat? - What do they do? - How do they grow? Fun activity worksheets: - Vocabulary game - Fill in the blanks - Parts of the horse - Where do horses live - Connect the horse to its food Week 2: Read the paragraphs again and complete these fun activity worksheets: - What do horses do? - The life of a horse - Finding text evidence - Watch EdPuzzle video and answer popup questions - Play a kahoot game - Fun facts about horses - Watch horses live cam Week 3: - Video lesson: Fascinating facts about horses - Watch "Horses for kids" YouTube video - Watch "Can a horse really be brave" YouTube video - Create your own lapbook - Play a kahoot game Week 4: Video lesson: - How do horses see the things around them? - How do horses express their feelings or moods? - What are the different horse breeds? Complete activity worksheets (Writing and colouring) - Watch "Wild horses round-up" YouTube video. - Watch "giraffe and horse" YouTube video. - Complete optional graphic organisers. Write about horses and share with your classmates. - Horse craft - Assemble horse pieces.
