NOTE: This class will TWICE MONTHLY starting in May 2022. You will be charged twice a month, on the Sunday before a class meeting. Please make a note of the dates and book titles below! Calling all Fiction Fanatics, both readers and writers! In this class, we will meet twice a month to discuss a different fiction novel according to the schedule below! We will dive deep into the fantastical worlds of the novels. We will hone the skill of reading "through the lens of a writer". Meaning that...

Students will get practice in articulating their thoughts about favorite books and characters. Students will practice identifying key points of a story. Students will learn, identify, and practice these skills: plots, subplots, protagonist, antagonist, character arcs, conflicts, plot structure, world-building, magic systems, and setting, among others. Students will learn how to form opinions based on the text. They will also learn how to give a literary analysis. Students will practice discussing topics in a group setting.
