What do potato chips, penicillin, the slinky, and post-it-notes have in common? They were all invented by accident! In this class, students will learn about ten things that were created by mistake. Learning about these inventions and the people who invented them is not only interesting, but also a good starting point in developing a growth mindset, as it helps to send the message that mistakes and failures can lead to positive outcomes. I will use a self-made PowerPoint featuring visuals...
- Students will be able to list at least 3 failed inventions.
I have been teaching for more than 16 years, both on and offline. I have a Master's degree in education and am certified to teach K-8.
