In this exciting ongoing club, your learner will discover facts about famous historical United States citizens! My curriculum will follow the Social Studies standards recommended for 1st and 2nd grade.  We will study three famous citizens every week and also discuss the qualities that make a good citizen. Each class will be a shared slideshow from my screen with lots of opportunities for interaction.  We will play games and learn about these citizens in fun and engaging ways! This is a fast-paced, high-energy class!

I will highlight the things in each person's life that made them famous and a good citizens.  This is not an in-depth study of their lives since we are covering three people in a 30 minute class.  My hope is that the class will spark an interest in your learner and they will research more in-depth outside of class. 

With each person, your learner will get a glimpse of their childhood, where they were born and their interests.  Then we will talk about their adult life and things they did that made them famous.  We will also talk about fun facts about each person!  

Each class will also include printable pages for each person that we study to create a booklet. This booklet is filled with facts about each person and images that can be colored! 

We will also play a Kahoot! game every class! This is such a fun way to reinforce the things we have learned.
