Students will be taught how to draw pumpkins from simple shapes. They will learn how to use chalk pastels to fill in a pumpkin and how to blend chalk pastels. Students will see how the bright colors show up well on black construction paper. Students will learn about using a light source in their artwork. They will learn where to make shadows and where to make the pumpkin the brightest. Students will draw the moon on a cool fall night. Students will have a time to share with their peers at the end of class. No previous experience is needed for this class. 

The materials needed are black construction paper( If you have another dark color like blue or purple that will also work.)
Students will need the chalk pastel colors white, black, yellow, red, blue, green, orange, and brown. Last students need paper towels or something similar to wipe their hands off as we color.
