課堂經歷
For young children, STEAM means making observations, finding patterns, investigating, making and using tools, and solving problems in a fun and creative way. In this class, through interactive games and hands-on projects, we will work together on all the STEAM skills we need. Each week we will use these skills to problem solve, experiment, and complete a fun project together. Week One - We will read about the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf and make houses to keep them safe. Week Two - We will read about the Three Billy Goats Gruff and make a raft that can carry them safely past the troll bridge. Week Three - We will read about the Gingerbread Man and build a trap to catch him for the little old woman.

“Teachers have three loves: love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together.” Learning should be fun and exciting for all children. I want to ensure that children have all the skills to enjoy learning, to continue their natural curiosity and creativity, and to feel confident to explore their interests and express their ideas. I have a master’s of education in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in reading and a bachelor’s degree in education and psychology. I was lucky enough to homeschool my three wonderful children from kindergarten until they went to college. I’ve taught in private schools, tutorials, and I’ve been a reading interventionist, and preschool director. Most recently I’ve been tutoring and teaching classes online and working as a vision therapist. I’m truly passionate about teaching and learning and I hope I can share that with children all over the world here on Outschool.評論
