~ Hi, I am Mrs. Roxy, renound a self-taught Artist, homeschool parent, and a five-star Outschool instructor who has worked with over 5,000 students here at Outschool.  I am excited to work with new art freindss to help them skyrocket their potential! 

~ This is a highly engaging club for a creative outlet to build skills! Each week, we will workshop new or original characters plus recreate popular anime characters. Ignite your imagination, & channel your creativity as we draw in various styles; cool chibi, simple sleek anime, or sometimes creepy-cute characters, together in a friendly atmosphere focusing on creativity.  We'll work on various aspects of drawing, like clothes, eyes, hair, poses, facial expressions, backgrounds & more. We'll alternatively work on close-up portraits or broad illustrations. Learners are encouraged to share & I will be here to answer questions & guide artistic conversations. Learners are welcome to use my art as a guide & add their own personal style with details & make the work their unique artwork :)

~ In Each Class: Each week we'll start with friendly greetings & then begin drawing artwork. I will guide learners in a successful step-by-step process with a camera on me & a document camera on the drawing so learners can draw live with me. We will share our art, although it is not necessary. It is a kind & encouraging environment where our imagination & art abilities can skyrocket.  

~Weekly Class Theme: 
Each week will illustrate a different character and execute it with our key concepts. Plus Bonus personal tips I learned along the way as a working artist.
As we dive into our art we'll take a look at the vital Elements of Art & Principles of Design and their application. (The elements of art are the building blocks of an artwork: color, line, shape, form, value, texture, and space. They are the tools artists use when creating an artwork. The principles of design are how those building blocks are arranged: contrast, rhythm, proportion, balance, unity, emphasis, movement, and variety) Sketching Techniques are effective ways to add depth to your sketches through shading, stippling, scribbling, circling, smooth shading & blending, creating highlights, rendering.
Workshop & explore Fundamentals of Anime including Anatomy & Character Design while learning how the Elements of Art and the Principles of design all work together aesthetically, we will be applying this knowledge while having fun, socializing & sharing:

- How to make your character pop! Cast shadows and shading with Sailor Moon
- Epic Anime Eyes!  Add sparkly reflective light to make magical eyes with My Hero Academia 
- Color theory and cool color combos with amazing Demon Slayer Character
- Draw in profile beautifully with Genshin Impact Characters
- Oh My! Work on Expression with Vocaliods Characters
- Full Body Dynamic pose with Spy X Characters
-Practice and learn to draw hands with Naruto 
- Gesture drawing & action pose with Hunter X Hunter character
-Intriguing sea scape with Studio Ghibli girl 
-How to draw anime characters people care about in Manga style
- Learn how to illustrate hair blowing the wind with Samurai at sunset
- Learn to draw different types Magical anime powers & poses
- Boba Café girls wearing elegant kimonos
- One Piece character forced perspective

~These are Weekly Examples, Join in at any time. It is always exciting & new, as we cycle through and start again, we continually practice illustrating concepts, the principles of design, elements of drawing techniques with fun themes & characters! Please feel more than welcome to ask what week we are on and if you have any questions.

I will guide students in discovering the epic world of Art through Anime, which allows students to express themselves, gain confidence, and build creative skills.  This is a fun time for students to be mindful, explore,& experiment to become their own master artists!

Class Attendance Note:
This is a weekly course. If you are unable to attend & need to move to another class time during the week for any reason, I am more than happy to transfer you anytime for the week, with 24-hour notice, please. ( This is an in-demand class so I teach many times during the week. Transferring will still keep you enrolled in the original class to save the spot & I will send a coupon so that you can pop in any other time ) FYI Outschool will process the class payment the Sunday before class starts.  Refunds by Outschool according to their policies. You are welcome to pause, stop your class subscription & unpause as is convenient. If you have any questions I am more than happy to help.


Materials:
 learner need to bring to class; Learners should bring a sketch pad or loose blank paper, and a pencil with an eraser. ( Please bring a class pencil, mechanical are a plus, great for fine details but are hard to erase when sketching) 
I will guide learners with traditional pencils, sketch paper, and colored Prisma pencils but Digital drawing is more than welcome.
Learners are welcome to bring anything to add a little color, like colored pencils. Coloring depends on the pace and preference of the learner. ( Some learner complete their coloring after class and can share anything added next class)
