課堂經歷
This science class will turn into an art class in the blink of an eye! This class will be centered around learning about four different animals that are endangered or extinct. These animals are the giant panda, bengal tiger, mastodon, and the amazing megalodon shark! This class will cover topics such as the difference between endangered and extinct animals, reasons for endangerment and extinction, and interesting facts about the animals. This may include where and when the species lived, what it ate, and how it survived and protected itself. The final part of class will be a creative art project. Learners will make a really cool shark sun catcher to hang up! I will teach this class through a series of slides with that will focus on images and animal facts. Handouts will be provided upon enrollment for each student to read together and complete with information we learn. My teaching style is engaging, fun, and energetic. Students are encouraged to interact with one another, share ideas, participate, and discuss what they learn in class. No experience is required. Come join the fun!

The students will learn how the animals became endangered or extinct. This includes being hunted by humans or animals being part of the food chain and eaten by predators. Images shown in this class will not be violent or graphic in nature.

Materials for art project: clear contact paper ( 2 precut pieces into the size of your choice) tissue paper in different shades of blue and white (these can be precut or cut in class) gray construction paper ( for sharks) scissors shark template (provided in the classroom as an attachment) Clear contact paper, tissue paper, and construction paper can be found at any arts and crafts or general retail store for about $5-$7.00.
