Every time we meet in this ongoing class, we will play creative writing games. We will try out different tasks and activities that encourage us to write creatively. Example activities include: consequences, comics, fill-in-the-blanks, nonsense poems, prompts and the never-ending story. There will be the opportunity to share writing but you don't have to. You can join in any week and you don't need to have been to any previous classes or have prepared anything. You can come back each week to...
The focus of this class is to have fun with writing. Playing through writing can give us confidence to communicate and help us feel more comfortable putting words on paper. Learners who want to write stories will find this class helpful for coming up with ideas and letting their imagination run wild.
Anything you can write with and something to write on! Pens and paper are perfect. You can type if you prefer, or use crayons, or dictate out loud to your grown-up! A good old ballpoint pen and a notebook will do just fine. I like to have my favourite drink with me when I write, and sometimes a little snack too. And remember to bring your imagination!
