課堂經歷

Nutrition, sleep management and fitness are three of several components which help us lead healthy lifestyles. 

Learners will join me virtually from my gym to exercise (no materials/equipment needed!) with a strength and conditioning focus. In addition to getting a great workout, learners will learn how to move different body parts with correct form. We will also discuss which sports these movements can be beneficial for. Learners will gain knowledge that will help them exercise and stay healthy and active throughout their lives. 

Each class will focus on 1-2 upper body, lower body, core and speed/agility/balance exercises, workingdifferent muscle group with demonstrations and corrections from me. Please refer below for a brief overview of each class. This class is appropriate for all learners interested in exercising with a purpose. Please bring a water bottle to class and wear exercise appropriate clothing.

Week of March 1st: upper body focus (pectorals, triceps, shoulders, biceps)
Week of March 8th: lower body focus (quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves)
Week  of March 15th: core focus (upper/middle abs, obliques, core)
Week of March 22nd: speed, agility, balance

I played varsity hockey while obtaining my finance degree in university and played professional hockey in top Austrian, French and Slovakian leagues. I have always been interested in the physical/athletic aspect of my sport, which led me to obtain my Personal Training and Athletic Coaching Certificate and open my own gym in Quebec, Canada. I look forward to exercising and sharing my fitness knowledge with your learner!

Safety: This is an exercise class so please wear appropriate clothes and bring a water bottle to class. The student will be completing different and new exercises, therefore supervision is required.

Hi and welcome to my profile!

My name is Sam and I am passionate about fitness and health.

A bit about me: I grew up playing competitive hockey and was fortunate to attend and graduate in Finance from McGill University (ranked 2nd best university in Canada) on athletic scholarship. I was rewarded athlete of the year in my senior year, and upon graduating, pursued my dream of playing professional hockey overseas in Europe; playing in top Austrian, French and Slovakian leagues. I was always extremely interested in the physical/athletic aspect of my sport, which led me to obtain my Personal Training and Athletic Coaching Certificate and open my own gym in Quebec, Canada. In addition, I am currently pursuing my 2nd university degree in Exercise Science at Concordia University. 

A bit about my classes: My classes will be multi-faceted. In addition to exercising, working up a sweat and being interactive, students will learn correct athletic form and body muscle movements. The learners will virtually join me at my gym, learn new movements and explore fitness training. The knowledge obtained in my class will allow them to implement health and fitness in their everyday life.
When I am not teaching, you can find me strength training at my gym, reading or exploring the outdoors with my partner and dog!
