In this class, we will learn: - Table Place Settings - Napkins & Handling Silverware - Difficult to Eat Foods - Do's & Don'ts of Graceful Dining For example, where do I put my elbows when I am dining, speaking, or listening? Can I check my cell phone during dinner? What if I need to be excused for a moment? Where does my napkin go while I am eating? While I am excused? When I am finished? Which hand do I hold my fork with when I am in at home? At School? In London? When may I begin eating? What is pleasant conversation and how do I learn it? How do I eat pizza, fruit, asparagus, or bread in a formal setting? In a non-formal setting? Can I arrive late? Why do hiring managers prefer to interview over a luncheon? What are business etiquette skills and why do I need them?

I hope all students will practice what they learn in class at home with their families over meals. What a fun activity to engage in as a family. I tell my students that it is important to practice eating formally and informally at home so that when you find yourself in a formal dining situation, unexpectedly, that you will feel confident because you have already taken the time to practice social and business etiquette skills.提供的評估
