Student will practice sight words, reading simple sentences, and retelling short stories. I give private tutoring students ample opportunity to interact with me through natural dialogue. We will practice how to answer simple questions, with simple sentence frames such as: "My name is _____________." "I am ______ years old." Simple sentence frames help students develop confidence in their ability to speak English. We will also practice the sounds made by the twenty-six letters in the alphabet, which is beginning phonics instruction. 
When a student makes pronunciation errors, I correct them in a positive and encouraging manner. This class is for students who already know the following in English:

~basic body part words
~basic animal words
~number words 0-20
