In this one-time class, students will practice reading words with the long vowel, silent e phonics pattern (CVCe) in order to escape the island. 

Miss Kristin is stranded on the island and needs help to find the treasure and escape the island! Students will practice phonics skills by reading long vowel words (CVCe) in each question and choosing the correct answer to collect objects along the way and eventually find the buried treasure. 

*Review of the 'magic e' rule will be included as needed, but students should be able to blend letter sounds to make words and have some prior knowledge of long vowel words. This class is meant as a review and extra practice, not an introductory course to blending long vowel words with silent e.

*This class does not require any extra websites for students to login to, but I will be using slides through screensharing as we go through this Escape Room style class.
