In the class, ESL learners will get the chance to practice speaking at length about any topic which they are interested in. Then, they will answer follow-up questions from the teacher and other students about their chosen subject, as well as ask questions about other students' presentations.

Some common topics are:
a movie, book, video game, TV show, athlete, sports team, singer, festival, family holiday, country or city, animal, memorable personal experience, a close friend or family member historical event or figure, and much more!

Presentations should be about 3-5 mins long, and be prepared BEFORE the class (although, if a student would like to join and just observe/ask questions for the first time, that is fine - just let me know). Students can include pictures with their presentation, but not a requirement.

I will correct obvious errors in pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, as well as provide suggestions on how to better structure the speech. I will also encourage students to ask challenging questions about each others' presentations,. This all helps students to improve not only their English, but public speaking and critical thinking skills too.
