Join our exciting and interactive virtual class where learners collaborate to solve challenging brain games, master grammar rules, and explore new literary devices. Each session is designed to be a fun-filled adventure, combining group activities and individual challenges to "crack the code" and progress to the next level. Think rebus puzzles, word ladders, illusions, and grammar questions like “Does that comma belong there?” This class offers a unique, 'collect the clues' format that makes learning a thrilling journey. Learners will tackle each level together, sometimes working independently to ensure everyone has the chance to "crack the code." Completing levels involves solving brain games, identifying grammar issues, and using literary devices correctly. After each level, a clue is collected to advance to the next challenge. If learners get stuck, bonus clues are available to help them progress. Additional resources will be shared after class for continued learning. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗲 (𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿):
I started my path to teaching in college when I volunteered with AmeriCorps. I went on to teach in traditional public schools after I completed my M.Ed. and received my teaching license, but I quickly learned the school environment was not the ideal setting for myself or my child. That is when I transitioned to homeschooling and teaching online. I have been teaching writing course for fifteen years. My primary objective in each class is to help the learners feel comfortable and gain confidence in their writing.
All Academy teachers have experience and background in providing writing instruction with continued professional development and training.
