This lesson looks to explore one of the fundamental skills of writing in English, and that is of being able to structure and write an essay effectively and with correct writing conventions. Students will learn of what makes an effective and ineffective essay, the structure of an introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion and the formula to build an essay across different subject areas. This class is structured between explicit teaching (teacher-directed), collaborative discussion among students and the teacher and small tasks students can engage with whilst learning.
