This course is designed to be a 1 on 1 tutoring session. As a certified English Language Arts and Special Education teacher, students will receive instruction in whatever comprehension issues they may be struggling with. I have over ten years of experience preparing students for various assessments. I can assist students in developing test taking strategies as well as assisting them with vocabulary that is necessary to be successful in their content subjects in History, Science, and also...
Students will develop test taking strategies. Students will define unknown vocabulary terms using context clues in a passage.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Master's Degree in Students with Disabilities. I have two New York State certifications in English Language Arts and Special Education. I have been teaching as a co-teacher in Global History, US History, Algebra, and Living Environment classrooms for over ten years. I also hold a Teaching English to Students of Other Languages certificate.
