In our weekly reading and writing class, we will explore an engaging new article while focusing on integration of reading, writing, and science/ social studies. The articles will be shared with students digitally for our lesson. 

You child will have the opportunity to engage in student friendly cross-curricular nonfiction texts that include videos, vocabulary, and skill builder comprehension activities such as:

Weekly Class Routine:
👉Welcome and introductions
👉Introduce new article of the week, making predictions, engaging hook of lesson
👉Interactive read aloud with text incorporating new skill being taught, quick checks
👉Wrap up lesson, interactive activity/ mini quiz  over text

About me as a teacher:

👉18 years elementary classroom experience in brick and mortar
👉9 years of experience teaching online
👉3 years teaching at college level 
👉My goal is to make each lesson personalized and as engaging as possible be incorporating interesting texts, games, media, etc. I want students to grow to love learning and become lifelong learners. 

Outschool Refund Policies: 
If your learner misses a class meeting, you are not entitled to a refund. Your teacher may, however, transfer your learner to another available section or provide a class recording at their discretion.

If your learner does not join the meeting 10 minutes after the class starts, the teacher may cancel it at their discretion. This is considered a missed meeting, and you are not entitled to a refund.

Refunds are not guaranteed if your learner misses a past or future class meeting due to a schedule conflict.

If your learner’s meeting time changes because of daylight saving time starting or ending for several world regions, you are not entitled to a refund if they cannot attend. Please review your learner’s schedule beforehand to ensure you know when classes are meeting.
