During this 1:1 tutoring class, I can assist with any reading or writing objective. This could be a school homework assignment or a personal project. 

While I am new to Outschool, past students in my classroom and those I have taught online enjoy my lessons because I can connect with them and make learning enjoyable, humorous, and engaging. When I am with young learners in an educational setting, the child in my heart comes out. It helps that I have many of the same interests as my students and can discuss anything from my old Atari games to the new hit smartphone apps and much in between.

I specialized in the upper elementary language arts for 10 of my 20 years in the classroom and have a master's in Educational Technology. 

I can assist with any assignment in reading, including theme, main idea, vocabulary, locating evidence, character development, and predicting. I also specialize in research and creative writing techniques and have helped many struggling and advanced writers. 

Please be prepared to share the work you bring to the tutoring session with a Google document or other source. Also, share any information before the class, and I will prepare any needed information or resources.
