This one- tume course is a private tutoring course. I will work with you and your elementary student to develop a tutoring plan to fit your needs. Areas of tutoring can include: - Math - Science - Social Studies - Reading - Writing If you would like more than one topic to be covered (such as half of the time reading and half of the time math) that can be arranged as well. I have been a classroom teacher in a variety of settings and locations (including public school, Title I school, private school, and teaching in Guatemala and Nicaragua). I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, with the bulk of my experience being in 3rd and 4th grade, though I must be well- versed in 2nd grade concepts as well due to needing to know what knowledge my 3rd grade students came to me with. I am very familiar with the concepts taught in these grades and my students continuously perform well both in class and on standardized assessments. Additionally, my student teaching was done in 1st grade and Kindergarten.
