Students will improve their reading comprehension skills, as well as their conversational skills, as we progress through analyzing the book during class time. They will practicing making inferences and text to self connections.
I have taught this novel for a couple of years with much success. This literary analysis focuses on adolescent challenges. Through guided discussions, students are able to gain an understanding of the numerous types of difficulties that young adults face while growing up. As readers, we learn that hardships and challenges are a part of life. Our goal is to find ways to cope with these challenges.
