Edgar Allan Poe is a, sometimes, controversial early American author due to the grim nature of his work. While the work is not overtly gory or violent, some parents may find his themes and subject matter objectionable. All course work is generally taught within the 8th through 10th grade Language Arts curricula.
All Poe's works are in the pubic domain, so no need to purchase any additional resources. We will be using the following website for our classroom readings and discussions: https://poestories.com/index.php
