Teaching math is one of my best strengths as I am able to show the students all the steps, short cuts, math vocabulary and how to think when doing their math. I have taught twice exceptional students and students who learn differently as I have training in high incidence in the independent/homeschools I worked at for over 10 years. Student will learn that there is more than one way to come up with answers in math. They will learn growth mindset, meaning that they can be creative in math and try different solutions especially breaking the numbers down into small chunks they can handle. We will begin with addition games/review then subtraction and time permitting we can move on to multiplication tricks/short cuts (strategies).
I have always enjoyed math and can teach it really well. I specialized in math and science education at UBC for my B.Ed. Degree. My multiplication classes have gone really well and I am using the same principles in this class. My one to one tutoring is now full.

Paper, pencil, pen and color markers to help them remember the steps or content. Dice and/or playing cards if they want to handle their own instead of me doing it for them on the screen.
