每週 2-4 小時. Please note: Students will need to practice a minimum of 2 hours every week to stay on top of class material. Sight-reading fluency is essential to learning class pieces. Weekly practice is essential to learn new material.評估
I will offer feedback after students perform an exercise and, if needed, provide suggestions to help the student master the concept. Mistakes are a part of learning a musical instrument! So students should not worry if they play the exercise or a piece correct on the first try. Together we will learn how to progress through new music and learn new musical concepts.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。
課堂經歷
Please note: This class picks up where Early Intermediate Piano Level N leaves off. Prospective students should be familiar with swing rhythm, 6/4 time signatures, triad construction, major and minor triads, ostinatos, one-octave arpeggios and the key of D major. Sight reading music is essential to this class so prospective students should be comfortable with reading music in the Level 3B Piano Adventures series (material from Level N). In this class, students will explore contrasts in music: rounded binary musical form, 6/8 time signature, chord inversions, sixteenth notes, playing with a "singing" tone and discovering the stylistic traits of JC Bach and Pachelbel. Please note: We will be using Piano Adventures Lesson Book Level 3B (2nd Edition) for this class. It is a required text for the class. Week One: We will continue to explore chord inversions. We will start Gurlitt's The Return in 6/8 time. Week Two: Review The Return. Examine different triads and chords inversions in a spiritual. Week Three: Continue to develop the spiritual. Begin sixteenth note rhythm study. Week Four: Review sixteenth note rhythm studies. Begin a piece with contrasting tempi by JC Bach. Week Five: Continue to develop the JC Bach piece. Explore a new piece with contrasting sections. Week Six: Check-in on Fanstasia Con Spirito and begin Pachelbel's Canon. Week Seven: Continue to develop Pachelbel's Canon. Examine the harmony in the piece. Week Eight: Finish learning Pachelbel's Canon. Student mini-recital.

Please note: The class book will be Piano Adventures Lesson Book Level 3B (light purple cover/2nd edition). For advanced students, I also recommend getting Piano Adventures Performance Book Level 3B. I may assign additional pieces for advanced students from the performance book or if the student is ahead in class work. The links for both books are below. Lesson Book 3B: https://pianoadventures.com/publications/piano-adventures-level-3b-lesson-book-2nd-edition/ ($8.99) Performance Book 3B: https://pianoadventures.com/publications/piano-adventures-level-3b-performance-book-2nd-edition/ ($7.99) For students struggling with sight-reading (or would like extra review), I highly recommend the Level 3B Sight-reading book: https://pianoadventures.com/publications/piano-adventures-level-3b-sightreading-book/ ($6.95)
