課堂經歷
Each week I will post four mini-lessons supporting each stage of a students writing process. Week One: All About Me Writing focused on describing general information, brainstorming, describing using external (physical) traits, and describing using internal traits. Week Two: Letter Writing focused on formatting, talking about yourself, talking about the other person and asking questions. Week Three: Writing with Known Characters focused on learning about a character, identifying external (physical) traits and internal traits, writing to describe physical traits and writing to describe internal traits. Week Four: Small Moments Writing focused on expanding sentences, identifying small topics and moments, including emotions in our writing, and adding details. Each week you can interact by... -image of your child's writing and accompanying drawing(can be done daily for each mini-lesson or weekly) - video of your child sharing their written work (reading their story and showing their pictures) -showing other student's written work to your child and posting a comment saying what your child notices or likes about their peer's story - receiving private feedback from the teacher weekly -posting a personal goal for what your child would like to focus on in their writing each week

Students will write sentences that includes a capital letter, spaces and punctuation.
Students will practice sounding out words to include more letters in each word.
Students will extend their writing by adding details and feelings.
Students will write in many genres.
Students will provide feedback to a peer.
Students will learn about external and internal traits.
Students will learn how to format a letter.
