This class is developed for students that have dyslexia or other reading difficulties. Dyslexia is a learning disability that affects areas of the brain that process language and is a life-long challenge. Though there is no cure, early interventions result in the best outcomes. This class will give students strategies on how to attack words in their reading. Our goal is to increase your child's reading accuracy. In order to achieve this goal, I am using my 15 years’ experience as a Special Education Teacher to pre-teach word structure, pre-teach confusing words, and pre-teach vocabulary. These interventions and support will give your student the best outcome to reading accurately.
Dyslexia is a learning disability that affects areas of the brain that process language and is a life-long challenge. Though there is no cure, early interventions result in the best outcomes. I have taught in the public schools for 15 years as a Special Education Teacher where I addressed the needs of students with dyslexia. I know that good interventions can bring success to students that struggle with reading disabilities.
