課堂經歷
This debate club is a fun, and educational too! The different forms of debate will be taught in this class. After the form of debate is taught using power point, and discussion, students will team up and prepare for a short debate. The debate will be performed in class. The topics for debate will be ones in which the learners do not need to do very much research for. The topics will include subjects that are relevant to their lives such as: recycling, voting age, driving age, soda or...
Students will improve their ability to debate in a structured format. They will learn how to research topics as well as listen to other view points, and opinions.
I have led classes with students who are ages 12-18 for the past five years. These classes have included debate, presentations, acting, and more. In high school I was on the Speech and Debate team, acting clubs, FFA, and 4-H. I have also served at the Performing Arts project leader in 4-H.
Students will need access to a phone, tablet, or computer where they can quickly research the debate topic that they are given.
