每週 1 小時. Homework will consist of work on character backgrounds, leveling up, and time thinking about in-game puzzles during off periods. Only the former two will be directly assigned, but doing the latter will leave more time for progressing the story of the game during class time.評估
Evaluation, if requested, will be based on how well the students come together to face dynamic, unexpected, situations. Are they willing to make decisions for their characters? Do they know what their characters are capable of? Are they able to work with their fellow students to overcome obstacles? 課堂經歷
Students will learn teamwork, collaborative storytelling, improvisation and practice basic math and problem-solving skills through the lens of an exciting and engaging game of Dungeons and Dragons by taking on the roles of characters trying to survive in a post apocalyptic fantasy setting with a focus on harsh environment, resource scarcity, and questions of just how far one is willing to go just to survive. Some basic knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons is helpful, but not required to participate in this class. Certain optional rules will be used during play and explained to the class as they occur. Outline of Class: 7/17/22 - Character Creation, Session 0 7/24/22 - Learner Directed 7/31/22 - Learner Directed 8/7/22 - Learner Directed If learners join the game after the first meeting will be given the chance to either play a pre-generated character or if they prefer they will be directed in creating a character via private messages via Outschool before the next session begins .
