課堂經歷
This class is for beginners wanting to play Dungeons and Dragons for the first time. Content is gradually introduced and built upon, as we play more and more of the game each session. New topics will be presented, and then I will switch from teacher to Dungeon Master in order to run a limited version of the game. By the time the class is over, students will have played the full version of Dungeons and Dragons using characters that they themselves have created and built. Topics are ordered...
Students will be learning how to build and play characters using the second edition of Pathfinder. They will learn about classes, ancestries, backgrounds, skill checks, equipment, alignment, magic, action types, strategic positioning, initiative, and roleplay. This is NOT a class learning how to be a dungeon master, nor is this a campaign. There will be gameplay involved but the priority is learning how to set up a character and follow the rules and spirit of the game.
2 註冊後即可取得文件Students will need paper and pencil to record character information. They can print of character sheets if they want and can buy dice sets if they want. These are not necessary but do enhance the experience. Coins or other counters can be helpful as well to keep track of resources for magic users.
除了 Outschool 教室外,本課程也使用:
Dungeons and Dragons includes fantasy violence but nothing descriptive or vulgar. The first third-party tool is the slide show I've prepared for this class. It exists only during screen share and serves as the base I teach off of. The second tool is the archive of rules and character creation options for the Pathfinder 2 system. This will be used during and after class for interested students to look up rules on how to build their characters. It is essentially a rule book, but online. If we use the online version parents will not have to purchase copies of the physical version. However, if parents would prefer to purchase physical copies of the rule book, they entirely may do that instead. The third tool is the online tabletop system Roll20. An account is required by the beginning of our second class session and allows students to move their own tokens on a digital map. I have created the maps for the mini-adventures at the end of each class.
