At the conclusion of the course students will be able to do the following:
a) Describe the core ideas inherent in a table top roleplaying game.
b) Begin the process of basic character creation to use in a game session.
c) Be able to select a preferred "race" and "class" in the game.

As Dungeons and Dragons is an expansive "game system", learning as they go is essential for student success as they begin to enjoy this roleplaying world.

The RnD Club has organized and taught groups of Dungeons and Dragons for over 5,000 students and community members, running games professionally for private clients between the ages of 7-70 years old. Our teachers and GMs train together on best practices, are almost all traditional classroom teachers, and work to ensure an excellent experience for each child, every class.

Students are encouraged to begin creating a "character" by selecting a "species" and "class" after the course, beginning to put the ideas from the session into practice. This may generate questions which they can ask the instructor as a follow up to the lesson.
