𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧:
🔸This class is for users of DSLR cameras or mirrorless cameras with the ability to use Manual Mode to adjust the f-stop, shutter speed and ISO. Please contact me if you are unsure as to whether or not your specific camera is compatible with the class.
🔸Tripod. I recommend having a full-sized tripod available, but you could make a table-top one work in a pinch. (See Supply List below for a recommendation for an inexpensive tripod from Amazon if you don’t have one available.)

𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗦:
You should have already taken a class on (or be familiar with) how to use your camera in manual mode. 

𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪:
All too frequently after someone takes a photography class, they put their camera back in the closet and forget what they’ve learned! This class gives motivated students the opportunity to continue to use their manual photography skills as they explore shutter speed more deeply by participating in one or more different portfolio-worthy photo challenges each week. 

We’ll start the class with a refresher on shutter speed and the exposure triangle and will review how to use your camera in manual mode. Then we’ll move on to creating hands-on photography assignments that reinforce and build on the knowledge the student already has about shutter speed, creating cool images they’ll be proud to share.

𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧 (𝟰 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗦): 
𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀: New video lessons will be posted to the classroom each Monday morning by 10am Eastern time.

𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀: Each week you’ll be assigned one of more photo challenges that you’ll share in the Outschool classroom. The teacher will provide individuals with video feedback about their photo assignments each week.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗺: Students will grow as photographers by giving and receiving friendly constructive criticism of other's photos within the Outschool classroom. Even if you are the only student enrolled in your session, you'll have photos to critique, as there's lots to learn by reviewing other photographers' work. In the critiques of other's work, students will include something the photographer did well, a question for the photographer about their work, and a suggestion as to how they could improve their work the next time.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Learners will use Outschool's classroom discussion area to respond to and discuss questions posed by the teacher.

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: I will be available throughout the week via the Outschool platform to answer any questions you might have about the assignment or how to use your camera to complete the assignment.
