In this one time class, students will learn to create a storytelling artwork about this red fox, Kitsu, who is exploring the enchanted forest. I will show step-by-step how to draw Kitsu and the magical mushrooms with pencil and eraser. Students will learn to analyze the subject and break it down into simple shapes. We will talk about the composition and the elements used in the painting to create the story. The ombre background color blending technique will be introduced using the wet brush....
• Pencil and eraser • A Black sharpie* • watercolor paint set • Assortment of watercolor paint brushes • Cup of water. • Canvas (8x8 ) or White watercolor paper** • Paper towel *Black sharpie is highly recommended as the black marker blends in with water easily **I will be using canvas during the class. While canvas is not a requirement, it is highly recommended as it will make a big difference for a learner's success.
