Students will learn different techniques such as proportions, anatomy, texture, shading, light and shadow, and line so that they will be able to use these tools to figure out how to draw independently at home.

I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.

Learners may need to complete their drawings at home. I know I always needed more time! Questions and critiques are welcome after class finishes through the Outschool messaging system.
