In this interactive, ongoing class, learners will learn foundational drawing skills and habits that can be applied to any drawing - from cartoon to realistic. For these classes, we will focus on drawing cartoon animals with colored pencils! In every class, students will learn and practice applying key steps to the animal drawing of the week. I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.

Learners may need to complete their drawings at home. I know I always needed more time! Questions and critiques are welcome after class finishes through the Outschool messaging system.
