In this ongoing course, students will make a different type of monster each week while practicing French. The students can use either Google Jamboard to draw their monsters or use a paper and pencils. This is a personal preference and will not affect the class results. I encourage the students to use complete sentences to communicate with the other students and with myself in French as much as possible. If the child is struggling, I will ask the child to explain in English and then I will ask him or her to repeat in French in order to practice vocabulary and conversation skills. I use the love of art and drawing to increase the participation in those conversation skills. Lots of praise is given during the class to make students feel proud of their artwork and their French skills. 

Here is a list of vocabulary we will be focusing on each week:

Week of November 7th: shapes and colors in French relating to our monster creations
Week of November 14th:  different lines and textures in French while creating original shaped monsters
Week of November 21st: body parts in French while creating our monster creations
Week of November 28th: emotions in French while adding emotion to our monster's facial expression
Week of December 5th: monsters in action: learning French verbs

This class is mostly taught in French. Learners should have a basic to moderate understanding of conversational French. Lots of support will be given to students who need extra help. Repeating after me is highly encouraged and praised.
