Do you have a young artist? In this class, students can show off their art skills while learning the French language! I will speak in French as much as possible during this class, but I will speak English as needed to have a smooth class. Each week, we will start with introducing our names in French. I will help students if they need it by having them repeat after me, and all students will get a turn. There will be a weekly theme, which will dictate what we draw. I will demonstrate, and students will be able to follow along in real time. As we draw, I will introduce the vocabulary in French. We will learn colors, body parts, animals, and more! At the end, we will have a show and tell where students can share their masterpieces! I will spotlight students and ask them their favorite thing they drew, then help them say it in French. I have been learning French for 9 years now, from French 1 - French 5 as well as 4 years of immersion French classes. I am conversationally fluent and at a C1 level. I have tutored French immersion from May 2020 through August 2020 when the French immersion school near us closed for quarantine, and I've been teaching French online for two years.
I also continue to take French lessons with native speakers, and I am working towards my Bachelors in French, which includes classes in advanced French immersion, French literature, and French education. I attended a 7-week summer French immersion camp through Middlebury College.
I also have my certification in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), the principles from which I apply to my French classes.評論
